James Paine designed the East Front for the 4th Earl of Scarbrough; however, this was but a small bit of grand plans that were never carried out. Paine's drawings for Glentworth, dated 1753, are today at Sandbeck Park. Joseph Rose, working for Paine, was the plasterer for Glentworth. The façade was mutilated circa 1950.
